Alleged Google Pixel 3 XL production unit leaks out with USB-C Pixel Buds headphones

We’ve been seeing the upcoming and oft-rumored Pixel 3 XL from Google leak out over the last several weeks, most recently with news revealing a possible launch date for the upcoming flagship handset. And now we have another look at the smartphone, this time in an alleged production model.

New images from the Telegram channel of Канал Лучкова detail a handset that checks all the boxes we’ve come to expect at this point: a notch at the top of the display, minimized bezels, and a glass back to facilitate wireless charging. These images come from a blogger who says this is a “pre-release” version of the upcoming phone, but won’t go into detail how they got it.

The images show the front and back of what appears to be the Clearly White variant of the Pixel 3 XL with that fingerprint reader on the back and a single rear camera. On the front we can see information pertaining to the device, which is running Android 9 Pie. Stats that suggest it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood and 4GB of RAM. That display has a resolution of 1440×2960.

In additional photos, we can see that Google will apparently be changing the color of the power button this time around. The Pixel 2 XL has an orange button on the side, which makes it stand out. The Pixel 3 XL, meanwhile, may boast a light green power button instead.

Another new tidbit we learned from these images is that Google is apparently planning on including a pair of Pixel Buds-esque headphones in the box, but these will be wired. They appear to be USB-C headphones, but with that very familiar Pixel Buds design.

You can also catch a quick unboxing video for the Pixel 3 XL through the source link, but it mostly focuses on the contents of the box and not enough on the phone.

So, if this is indeed the real deal, what do you think? Are you okay with that deep notch?
