Nokia 6 (2018) now official with more RAM and better processor
HMD Global and Nokia are back with the second-generation Nokia 6, bringing a few key improvements over the first iteration of the handset.
We saw a leaked breakdown of the upcoming second-generation Nokia 6 just yesterday, and that report turned out to be pretty accurate. The new Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch 1080p HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB of RAM, and options for 32GB or 64GB of built-in storage.
Both variants offer a microSD card slot for expandable storage, a USB Type-C port, and a fingerprint reader on the back. The handset is running Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. HMD Global and Nokia have confirmed that Android Oreo is on the update schedule, though.
The Nokia 6 (2018) starts at ¥1,499 (~$230) for the 32GB model, and it is on sale in China only for now. There is no word on whether or not the new Nokia 6 will see a launch outside of the Chinese market just yet.
Bringing the Nokia 6 (2018) into the mid-range market, but keeping the low-end price, is a good move. What do you think of the Nokia 6?
