Google has sold one Google Home device every second since October

According to Google, 2017 was a pretty good year for the Google Assistant and an even better one for the Google Home devices where the digital assistant lives.

Today Google went over a few important numbers, breaking down how impressive 2017 was for the company, Google Assistant, and Google Home devices. Google Assistant is now on more than 400 million devices, including the Google Home, iPhones, Android phones and tablets, smartwatches, TVs, and more.

Even more impressive is that Google has sold one Google Home device every second since October, when Google Home Mini officially launched to the public.

Meanwhile, Google Assistant rolled out to eight additional countries in 2017, including Japan, and offers support for eight languages around the globe. With the Google Assistant you can control over 1,500 compatible smart home devices from over 225 brands. And compared to last holiday season, Google Assistant usage increased by 9 times.

Google sees plenty of room to grow Assistant in the months and years to come, and its rollout to even more devices will facilitate a need to keep adding support for languages, countries and even more features to make the digital assistant worth using.

How often do you use Google Assistant? Did you buy a new Google Home device in 2017?
