Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp launches November 22

Nintendo officially announced its newest game for mobile devices back in October, lifting the curtain on Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and confirming an Android launch before the end of November. It turns out the game’s now ready for prime time.

Nintendo has revealed that it will launch Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for Android and iOS devices worldwide on Wednesday, November 22. The title will be a free to download game, but there will be in-app purchases available. That real world money can be used to buy Leaf Tickets, which can then be used to buy things like exterior camper designs as well as speed up crafting and acquire materials.

The new game will have Animal Crossing fans create a character which they can customize and then manage a campsite that they will also be able to make their own in certain ways, including setting out furniture and decorations. Players will be able to visit in-game sites like a river, a forest, and a beach, too.

Players will be able to make friends with non-playable characters (NPCs) in the game as well as other real life Pocket Camp players. Those characters will be able to visit your campsite to check it out.

Animal Crossing is one of the more popular franchise for Nintendo, so seeing its arrival on smartphones is a welcomed one.

Do you plan on trying out the title when it launches on November 22?
