Top 5 most popular Android apps from last week: Firefox Focus, Grasshopper

Every week we cover new Android apps with Fresh Meat on Wednesday, followed by Android Gaming on Thursday and Top 10 App Updates on Friday. When Monday rolls around, we look back to see which apps were the most appealing to our audience. Read on for the five most popular Android apps from last week. These apps are ones that are most likely new and haven’t appeared in the top five list more than three times.

1. Firefox Focus

Firefox Focus

App info: Browse like no one’s watching. The new Firefox Focus automatically blocks a wide range of online trackers — from the moment you launch it to the second you leave it. Easily erase your history, passwords and cookies, so you won’t get followed by things like unwanted ads.

2. Adobe Scan

Adobe Scan

App info: The free Adobe Scan app turns your device into a powerful portable scanner that recognizes text automatically (OCR). Turn anything — receipts, notes, documents, pictures, business cards, whiteboards — into an Adobe PDF with content you can reuse.

3. Aivon – Artificial Intelligence Image Identifier

Aivon

App info:  Aivon is a powerful image analysis app powered by Artificial Intelligence that enables users to understand the content of an image. Can’t figure out your favourite movie star’s name? Quickly snap a picture and Aivon will help you!

4. Grasshopper

Grasshopper

App info: Learn to code for free on your phone, in as little as 5 minutes a day. So here’s the deal: everybody can learn to code. The problem is that today’s university-first approach is a bit old school, and frankly, out of touch. That’s why Grasshopper offers a new kind of curriculum for the everyday coder.

5. Ace File Manager

Ace File Manager

App info:  Search, Edit, Manage and Share your local files effectively and easily with Ace File Manager. Ace File Manager, the latest 2017 new version pro file manager app, helps you handle and share all your files stored in local storage and microSD card. With material design, Ace File Manager is the best file manager and file transfer tools to make your Android easier.

Note:  To ensure that all apps receive a fair chance to make the list, we will retire any app that has made the list for three consecutive weeks.
