Samsung is launching an early access program for Bixby in the U.S.

While Bixby is technically present on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, one major feature is still missing in the U.S.: Bixby Voice. But that is changing at some point in the near future, as Samsung appears to ramping up preparation for the feature’s arrival.

Samsung today announced a brand new early access program for its Bixby digital personal assistant, with a focus on using those voice features before the public release later this year.

Bixby Voice will let Galaxy S8 owners do a lot of different things, including choosing on-screen options with just their voice, telling the digital personal assistant to take a selfie and send it to a friend, or even have the software collect the photos you took last week and put them in a newly-labeled folder.

Samsung says participation in the Bixby early access program is limited, so if you’ve got a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ and want to try out the pre-release software, head on through this link and sign up.

Unfortunately, Samsung isn’t opening up on the release date for Bixby Voice in the United States just yet, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer for that info.

Are you planning on signing up?
