OnePlus 5 now receiving OxygenOS 4.5.3 update with bug fixes and optimizations

Heads up, OnePlus 5 owners, because another software update is now making its way to your shiny new smartphone.

OnePlus has confirmed that it’s now pushing OxygenOS 4.5.3 to the OnePlus 5. This update includes a few bug fixes, such as for some occasional Wi-Fi drops, as well as some system stability improvements.

The full OxygenOS 4.5.3 changelog looks like this:

  • Expanded screenshot display issue
  • Google Translate stutters
  • Wi-Fi occasional drops

Optimizations:

  • System stability improvements
  • Camera effect and stability enhancements
  • Effects of auto-brightness adjustment
  • Accuracy of data usage statistics

OnePlus also notes that there’s a known issue that causes some OnePlus 5 owners on T-Mobile to be unable to use WeChat and Pokémon Go. The good news is that there’s already a fix, and it’s to manually reconfigure your APN settings to look like this:
