AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular open LG G5 pre-orders

After the launch of the LG G5 at MWC 2016, consumers and tech bloggers alike have been awaiting word from LG as to the official pricing of the device. With the G5 being the first mainstream device to feature a modular design, many customers have been curious as to whether or not the new technology would warrant a price hike over other competitors.

Fortunately, it appears that LG’s implementation of the new technology won’t be causing any sticker shock. AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular have all opened pre-orders for the G5 and we’ll run you through the pricing details for each carrier.

T-Mobile is selling the LG G5 for a full retail price of $629.99, which breaks down to about $26.25/month for 24 months. Additionally, T-Mobile is offering an extra battery and a charging station to those who pre-order before April 17. If you purchase before April 5, T-Mobile will also offer you an LG 360 Cam free of charge, while supplies last.

US Cellular is offering the LG G5 for $636 FRP, or $26.50/month over 24 months. Customers can also purchase the G5 on a two-year contract for $199.99. Much like T-Mobile, US Cellular is also offering an extra battery and charging station to those who pre-order before March 17.

AT&T and Sprint have both opened up pre-orders, but only through Best Buy for the moment.

Sprint’s model is available for $799.99 unactivated, but interestingly enough, it’s only $24/month over 24 months if you choose to use a payment plan. You can also purchase the G5 on a two-year contract for just $99.99 at the moment, although the regular two-year contract price will be $199.99.

AT&T’s model is available for $22.95/month for 24 months on AT&T Next, although you could always pay more and shorten the amount of time to 18 or 12 months. The full retail price on AT&T is set at $688.99.

All models from Best Buy will also come with an extra battery, charging station and a microUSB to USB-C adapter. Additionally, Best Buy mentioned that pre-orders for Verizon customers will begin on March 24, so there’s a bit longer wait for them.

Anyone planning to pre-order the LG G5?
