MediaTek Announces MT2523 Chipset Aimed at Wearables

Touted by the company as the "world's first full-feature wearable chipset [that] combines dual-mode Bluetooth Low Energy, GPS, [and] MIPI-supported high-resolution screen", the MT2523 is MediaTek's newest offering aimed at wearables. The IDC estimates major growth in the wearable market in the upcoming years, and it seems that MediaTek wants a piece of that pie. We may even see some Android Wear devices sporting this hardware sometime in 2016.
