CatfishBlues Games released a racing game earlier this month called Rocket Racer. After only being out for a couple of weeks, the developers have pushed out a new update that brings with it a couple of much needed features, namely Android TV support and hardware controller support.
For those of you not familiar with this game, Rocket Racer is fast-paced racing title with a number of tracks, a pretty good soundtrack, and plenty of other goodies. This is a kart racing style of game, so players will be picking their racer and trying to score first place in each race with the help of power-ups that you can pick up during each lap.
As you progress through the game, you will earn money which can then be used to upgrade your racer and their vehicle. In total there are three different cups you can compete in, with a total of 27 tracks to race on. Players can compete for top ranks in global leaderboard as well.
The update brings full support for HID gamepads, so you can now sync up your controller of choice and use that for racing instead of the onscreen controls. For playing on the big screen, Rocket Racer now also have Android TV support as well. Lastly, there are additional bug fixes and optimizations like most other updates usually come with. If you're into kart racing games, Rocket Racer can be picked up off of Google Play for free with optional IAPs available as well.
