Six new Lenovo phones have leaked ahead of Mobile World Congress
Lenovo looks to be making quite a showing at Mobile World Congress, as six new phones from the company have leaked ahead of the show. The phones cover a multitude of sizes and purposes, ranging from budget phones to phablets, and most of them likely won’t make it out China. Nonetheless, it’s still interesting to see what the company is working on, and what we could expect if Lenovo ever expanded.
Lenovo Vibe X3
The Vibe X3 is Lenovo’s 2015 flagship. It features a 5.5-inch 1080p display on the front of the device. On the back, a high-end 20.7-megapixel camera can be found, along with a fingerprint scanner. The phone is encased in a metal frame and utilizes front-facing stereo speakers. The design isn’t mind-blowing, but it’s oddly reminiscent of the HTC One X.
Lenovo Vibe Shot
The Lenovo Vibe Shot is camera-centric smartphone that’s even styled to resemble a high-end point-and-shoot. It features a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 615 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage plus a microSD card slot.
The camera is the real star, though. It’s a 16-megapixel camera paired with optical image stabilization and three-tone flash for a natural brightness. The phone features an aluminum body with a dedicated camera button and comes in three color choices of black, white and red, though the red is more of an accent to the black.
Lenovo Vibe P1 and Vibe P1 Pro
The Vibe P1 and P1 Pro are Lenovo’s battery-centric devices. The Vibe P1 features a 4000mAh battery while the Vibe P1 Pro uses an even bigger 5000mAh battery. Both phones feature quick charging capabilities, 64-bit processors and LTE support.
Lenovo Vibe Max
The Lenovo Vibe Max is an upcoming phablet. Not much is known about the device, but it will reportedly sport a 6-inch QHD display and come with a stylus. Judging by the size and stylus, it looks like its primary competitors are the Nexus 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4, both of which are difficult devices to compete with.
Lenovo Vibe S1
The Vibe S1 is Lenovo’s budget phone. It comes in five different colors and features a front-facing camera that’s optimized for selfies, which is apparently becoming a requirement for phones to have.
All six of the phones will run Android 5.0 Lollipop and will receive official announcements at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. At that point, we’ll learn more about pricing and availability.
