AT&T is increasing GoPhone data allotments by 50 percent

AT&T has announced that it’s increasing data allotments on its two most popular GoPhone plans. The $45/month plan is being increased from 1GB of high-speed data to 1.5GB of high-speed data. The $60/month plan is being boosted from 2.5GB of high-speed data to 4GB of high-speed data. Both plans still include unlimited data (throttled after high-speed data allotment is used), unlimited talk and text, mobile hotspot capabilities and unlimited texting to over 100 countries.

AT&T is also adding unlimited calling to Mexico to the $60/month plan. After its acquisition of Mexican carrier Iusacell, AT&T has been offering expanded Mexican coverage to many of its plans. The changes to the GoPhone plans are welcome additions, upping the value of AT&T’s pre-paid option. If you’re looking to save money on your wireless bill, now might be a good time to check out GoPhone.
