Big Red has just announced a pair of (kind of) budget-friendly tablets with LTE just in time for the holidays. So why not give someone the gift of a two-year mobile data contract? Well, maybe you should ask first. At any rate, you can get the LG G Pad 7.0 and 10.1 for $49.99 and $199.99 with a new contract, but these are temporary promo prices.

These LG tablets are modestly specced, but should be fine for the average user. They both have 1280x800 screens, a Snapdragon 400, and 1GB of RAM. The larger tablet sports am 8000mAh battery and the smaller one a 4000mAh cell. They have LG's version of Android 4.4, which is also what you'd get on the LG G3.

Verizon hasn't said how long the sale pricing will last or what the pertinent cost will be. The off-contract price is $249.99 (7.0) and $299.99 (10.1). Yes, that's expensive for a basic tablet, but this is Verizon. You're not going to get a much better deal on an LTE tablet on that network.
