Unboxing the Nexus 9
Android tablets are a dime a dozen these days, but there are only a few that are really worth your time and money. Google is hoping that the new Nexus 9 will be one of them. The $400 Android table has an unconventional 1536 x 2048 pixels, 8.9-inch display with an aspect ratio closer to that of an iPad than the 16:9 aspect ratio we’ve traditionally seem on other Nexus devices. Google is also testing the water with a Nvidia’s 64-bit Tegra K1 chip since Android 5.0 is now enabled with native 64-bit support.
The Nexus 9 will be making its official retail debut on November 3, but our review unit showed up a few days early. The software build on the Nexus 9 we have still isn’t final, so we thought we’d share a quick unboxing video for now. We’re hoping to get an OTA update for the Nexus 9 in the next day or two. Expect our full review in the next week or two.
