Time Warner Cable App Updated To Not Instantly Crash On Android 5.0

t

The Time Warner Cable app has been updated with a few bug fixes and whatnot. One notable change is that it actually works on Android 5.0 now. See, before it just didn't run on Lollipop, but the changelog calls it a simple crash fix. Oh, you guys.

Here's the full changelog for version 3.6.6.6 of the TWC app.

  • Player updates to fix random lockups on Android 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 devices
  • Player updates to fix random crashes on Intel x86 devices running Android 4.4
  • Fix for crash on Android 5 devices

So it's going to be less broken, is what you can take away from this. That's a good thing, right? It will run on Android 5.0 now, but we'll have to see if there are any run-of-the-mill crash issues caused by the update. Apparently the TWC app is prone to crashing, just judging by the reviews. Hey, if that Comcast merger goes through, TWC customers will get to use the Xfinity app, which is... ehhh, it's not good either. Sad.
