HTC RE Camera getting price halved for Black Friday

The HTC RE Camera is certainly an interesting device. It’s a camera that connects to your smartphone to transfer photos or gain a viewfinder (as it doesn’t have its own), yet can be used without a smartphone to just take photos quickly and easily. It could be very useful in many use cases, though I’m unsure how useful it would really be for most people.

Priced at $200, it’s not a cheap accessory. But for Black Friday and the subsequent weekend, HTC is cutting the price in half, down to a manageable $99. That’s the price where impulse buys start, so HTC may move quite a few RE’s during the sale. And if you’ve been interested in one, there is no better time to buy it.

The deal starts on Thanksgiving, November 27 at 9PM and runs until the first of December 9PM, all Pacific times.
