AT&T unveils HTC Desire Eye, HTC RE camera launch details

Those looking for better selfies will be pleased to hear that the HTC Desire Eye and the HTC RE camera will be going on sale at AT&T on November 7. The HTC Desire Eye will be offered for $149.99 with a two-year contract, but you can pick it up for $549.99 if you don’t want to sign your life away to AT&T. The HTC RE’s sticker price is set at $199.99, but AT&T is throwing in a $50 discount for those who purchase the Desire Eye and RE together.

The $149.99 on-contract price for the HTC Desire Eye may seem a bit high for a device that many consider to be mid-range. Yes, the Desire Eye is a Desire phone, but its internal specs are on par with those of the HTC One (M8) and it does sport a slightly larger 5.2-inch 1080p display and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, which should make you the talk of the town (at least for a little bit).

We have no clue how the general public will react to the HTC Desire Eye or the HTC RE, but we’ll be reviewing both and will let you know if they truly deliver the experiences HTC has promised.
