Lenovo unveils 8-inch and 10-inch Yoga Tablet 2, 13-inch Yoga Tablet 2 Pro with projector

Lenovo has just announced three new additions to its Yoga line of Android tablets. The first two tablets both go by the name of the Yoga Tablet 2 but come with two different screen size options: one 8-inch variant and a 10-inch model. The Yoga Tablet 2 has retained the distinctive folding hinge design of its predecessors, allowing it to stand, tilt, hang (via a new hole in the aluminum stand) or simply be held comfortably in your hand.

Specs-wise, the Yoga Tablet 2 features a screen that’s 8- or 10-inches in size with a resolution of 1920×1200, quad-core 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z3745 processor, 2GB og RAM, 16GB storage plus a microSD slot, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, stereo speakers, Android 4.4 KitKat and a battery that’s rated for 18 hours of use, which we don’t doubt based on our previous experience with Lenovo’s Yoga tablets. Pricing is set at $249 and $299, respectively, though no release date has been disclosed.

Lenovo also unveiled the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro, which is a 13.3-inch monster with an interesting feature. The Yoga Tablet 2 Pro contains a Pico projector that allows users to instantly beam their content onto a wall at a maximum size of 50-inches. Paired with that is a speaker set from Dolby and Wolfson that puts out 8 watts of sound and features a built-in rear subwoofer in addition to the two front-facing stereo speakers.

In other specs, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro features a 13.3-inch 2560×1440 IPS display, quad-core 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z3745 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB storage plus a microSD slot, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and a battery rated for 15 hours of use. Pricing for the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro comes in at $499 and, as with the Yoga Tablet 2, the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro doesn’t yet have a release date.

Lenovo looks to have unveiled three great new tablets. The Yoga Tablet 2 Pro in particular is unique and looks to be geared especially towards media consumption.
