HTC maintains profitability in Q3 despite falling revenue

HTC has announced its unaudited financial results for the third quarter of 2014, revealing that the company stayed in the black in Q3 after its return to profitability in Q2. While HTC managed to avoid another loss-making quarter, the struggling smartphone maker saw further declines in both revenue and profits: Unaudited quarterly revenue was NT$41.86 billion compared to NT$65.1 billion in Q2, while net profits were down from NT$2.3 billion to NT$0.64 billion.
