Bug-fixing update rolling out to Moto 360
The Moto 360 has garnered some pretty positive press, though the device has its issues. Mainly, people have been seeing occasional Bluetooth disconnects and some stuttering (probably due to the old TI OMAP chip used inside). However, people love the 360 and we can’t blame them. Now owners of the Moto 360 are in for a treat.
Motorola is starting to roll out a new update for the device, and some users have already been able to download it. Though the software version remains the same, it has a new build number and Android Wear version number. And while this update isn’t adding a bunch of features, it’ll probably make the device a lot better to use. Here’s the official changelog:
- Bluetooth connectivity: Improved Bluetooth connectivity between the watch and phone to reduce momentary disconnects experienced by some users
- Charging notification: Added a message to confirm that Moto 360 is charging in cases when its battery is fully depleted
- Bug fixes: Implemented bug fixes and other system optimizations
Users are reporting that the device feels significantly more fluid, so those optimizations seem to be doing their job. Two of the biggest issues with the Moto 360 are on their way to being fixed, so it makes the device a lot more attractive. If you haven’t gotten your update, keep waiting as it’s gradually rolling out to people. When you do get it, tell us how you like it!
