Amazon Fire phone and HTC Desire 610 available now from AT&T

AT&T is launching two new Android phones today: Amazon’s first entry into the smartphone market and a new low-end device from HTC.

First up is Amazon’s Fire phone. For $199 with a two-year contract, the Fire phone comes with 32GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel camera, 720p 4.7-inch display and Snapdragon 800. Specs aren’t even half the story when it comes to the Fire phone though, because it’s all about the software on Amazon’s new device. Using four front facing cameras, the Fire phone features a dynamic, 3D interactive user interface. It also comes with Amazon’s Mayday service for quick access to troubleshooting and Firefly for analyzing and purchasing the world around you. The Fire phone isn’t receiving the best reviews from around the web, but you can’t say Amazon hasn’t tried to do something interesting with the device.

Next up is the much more affordable and straightforward HTC Desire 610. Priced at just one dollar on-contract or $199 without, the Desire 610 features a Snapdragon 400, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, a 4.7-inch qHD display and 8-megapixel camera. Made out of plastic, the 610 is HTC’s answer to the rise of the ultra-affordable Android device. And it’s not half bad.

You can buy the HTC Desire 610 from ATT here and the Amazon Fire phone here. You can also snag the Fire phone on, you guessed it, Amazon.
