Nike+ FuelBand finally launches on Android

Starting today, Android users finally have another option in wearable fitness trackers from one of the world’s largest sport and fitness companies. The Nike+ FuelBand app is available now on the Google Play store, ready to start tracking your fitness, with a few caveats.

Despite persistent rumors, and denials, that Nike’s FuelBand is being discontinued, Nike has finally launched the Nike+ FuelBand app for pairing your Android device to your Nike FuelBand SE. With the new Nike+ FuelBand app, FuelBand owners are now able to create a Nike+ account, set daily goals, enable activity reminders, view your workout history and compare your stats to the NikeFuel leaderboards.

In order to use the new Nike+ FuelBand app, you have to have a FuelBand SE (sorry first generation FuelBand owners). The app is “optimized” for the Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and S5 as well as the Nexus 5, HTC One and Motorola Moto X. If you happen to fall within those parameters, you can use the download widget below to get started. We’ve also provided a link to buy a FuelBand SE from Amazon below.
