Verizon Galaxy Note 3 receiving KitKat update over the air

Don’t feel like plugging your Verizon Galaxy Note 3 into your computer and running Samsung or Verizon software in order to get Android 4.4.2? I can’t say I blame you. The good news is that you no longer need to go through those extra steps to sink your teeth into Google’s KitKat bar, because the over the air update appears to be rolling out.

Several Verizon Galaxy Note 3 owners are reporting that they’ve had success manually pulling the KitKat OTA update. If you’d like to try it for yourself, grab your Verizon-branded phablet and head into Settings > General > Software update > Check for new software update.

As for what kinds of goodies this update contains, well, that much is still up in the air. Neither Samsung nor Verizon have officially acknowledged the update yet, but Samsung’s update page for the Verizon Note 3 seems to have gone missing as of this writing, so perhaps we’ll see a changelog pop up soon.
