T-Mobile’s LG G Flex now receiving its serving of KitKat

Last month, both AT&T and Sprint began rolling out updates to their versions of the LG G Flex that bumped the curvy smartphone up to Android 4.4. Now its T-Mobile’s turn to treat its G Flex-toting customers to a taste of KitKat.

T-Mobile has announced that starting today, May 5, it’s pushing an Android 4.4 update to its LG G Flex. The update bumps the T-Mo G Flex up to software version D95920d and includes Android 4.4.2 as well as LG’s Knock Code security feature. Also included are unnamed stability fixes.

The KitKat update for Magenta’s LG G Flex is going out over the air and can be downloaded by heading into System settings > General > SYSTEM > About phone > System updates > Check now. The update weighs in at 147MB, so be sure that you’ve got a little extra free time on your hands before initiating the update process.
