Universal Android Toolkit Now Ported to Java for Users of All Desktop OSes

The Universal Android Toolkit project by XDA Senior Member Beatsleigher has been around for almost two years. But while it was “Universal” in that it could be used on various different PC platforms, it didn’t completely live up to its name since only Windows computers could run the PC application. Now, however, Beatsleigher has rewritten the application in Java, allowing users of any major OS to get in on the fun.

Just as before, the toolkit features your standard ADB and Fastboot functionality. You can install, push, and pull APKs, and you can also use fasboot, access recovery commands, and perform various other tasks. You can also browse files on your device, check your battery level, and save log files for tasks performed in the utility. Future versions will being even more innovative features such as a build.prop manager and device flasher. And for those wondering about the tool’s creation, it was written using Netbeans and the previously covered JDroidLib library, which was also created by Beatsleigher.
