Samsung Galaxy S5 pricing information revealed by AT&T, US Cellular
Get out your calendars and your wallets, friends, because the first details of the US Samsung Galaxy S5 pre-orders and pricing have begun to flow in.
AT&T today announced that it’ll kick off pre-sales of the Galaxy S5 tomorrow, March 21, with units slated to begin shipping out in early April. AT&T will offer both the Charcoal Black and Shimmery White versions of the new Galaxy flagship. And as for pricing? Interested consumers will need to pony up $199.99 with a two-year commitment, $28 per month with AT&T Next 18 or $32.50 per month with AT&T Next 12 for the privilege of taking home an S5 of their own. The Galaxy S5 will also be available at a full retail price of $649.99.
AT&T also plans to sell all three of Samsung’s new Gear wearables. Pre-orders for the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit will begin on March 21, and just like the Galaxy S5, these devices are expected to start shipping to buyers in early April. Pricing for the Gear 2 is set at $299, while the Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit will cost $199 each. Customers interested in snagging a Galaxy S5 and a new Gear can save a bit of cash when buying both at the same time, as AT&T will be running a promo from March 31 through June 5 that’ll knock $50 off of the price of a Gear 2 or Gear 2 Neo when purchased with a GS5.
US Cellular also shared its Galaxy S5 pre-sale plans today, revealing that it’ll begin accepting orders on March 21. Consumers that do pre-order a GS5 will receive a $50 Google Play promo code. Pricing for the US Cellular-flavored GS5 will be set at $199.99 with a two-year commitment, and like AT&T, USCC will offer the GS5 in both Charcoal Black and Shimmery White. The Galaxy S5, Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit will all be available in US Cellular stores starting April 11.
