LG gives clearer look at G Watch with new photo

We got our first official peek at the LG G Watch shortly after last week’s announcement of Android Wear. Unfortunately, the first photo that LG showed a G Watch surrounded by darkness, meaning that only part of the device itself was visible. The good news is that we didn’t have to wait long to get a clearer peek at the G Watch.

LG’s U.K. arm today shared a bright, clear photo of a G Watch being worn by a person. The image gives us a much better look at the device’s squarish face as well as a peek at Hangouts running on the G Watch.

So that’s the good news. The bad news? We don’t really know much more about the G Watch than we did before. LG has said that it’s worked closely with Google to ensure that the G Watch works “perfectly” with Android Wear and that the wearable will play nicely with most Android devices, but the G Watch’s straight-up specs remain a mystery for now. The unit is scheduled for launch in the second quarter, though, so hopefully we aren’t in the dark for much longer.
