More leaks of next HTC flagship show closeup of second camera, on screen buttons

The HTC M8 rumor mill is buzzing, but there may not be much left to learn soon enough. If these leaks are to be believed, we already know that the device will feature a second camera sensor, on screen buttons, a 5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.3GHz and 2GB of RAM, all running KitKat 4.4. And these newest leaks support that info.

The first photo is a closeup of the second hole above where the camera was on its predecessor, the HTC One. The closeup shows that it’s a camera sensor, as rumors expected. It also confirms the dual LED flash that we’ve seen before, so it all seems to be lining up.

HTC M8 One on screen button leak

The second photo shows off the on screen buttons. And while we’ve already seen this info, I can’t tell you how happy I am that HTC has switched to using on screen buttons. The photos show the buttons upright and rotated, just like they act on a Nexus device.

These two leaks look pretty legitimate, and because they match up with all the info we’ve seen before, it seems that we have learned almost everything there is to know about the HTC One successor. It’s a bit sad, so hopefully HTC can give us a big surprise when it announces the device. What do you think of the device so far? Knowing quite a bit, it should be easy to make a judgement. Tell us your thoughts in the comments!
