HTC says ‘the best is about to get better’ as it sends invitations to March 25 event

The follow-up to the HTC One has been leaking left and right lately, and while that’s all well and good, I’m sure that most of us just want to see the thing made official. Thankfully it looks like that announcement isn’t far off.

HTC just announced that it’s holding an event on March 25, teasing that “the best is about to get better.” While the Taiwanese firm didn’t come out and straight up say that the successor to its flagship One will be shown at the event, it seems likely that that’s what HTC has in store for us. Not only are we nearing the OG One’s first birthday, but HTC Chairwoman Cher Wang recently teased that the company would soon be sending invitations to an event at which the follow-up to the One would be shown.

The next version of the flagship HTC One is expected to feature a design similar to its older sibling. However, the new device will reportedly sport a beefier spec list that includes a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, two rear cameras and a set of on-screen navigation buttons. Sounds to me like a respectable set of specs for a 2014 Android flagship.

Are you looking forward to the arrival of the successor to the HTC One? Which rumored feature are you most excited about?
