Boost MAX phablet lumbers into Boost Mobile’s lineup with 5.7-inch HD display

Today Boost Mobile officially introduced the new Boost MAX, and with a name like that, you just know that the device has a crazy spec or two up its sleeve.

The Boost MAX’s tentpole feature is its 5.7-inch HD IPS display, making it the biggest handset on Boost Mobile’s roster. The MAX also has a beefy 3200mAh battery to help power that big ol’ screen. Also buried inside of the MAX is 1GB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage, 4G LTE support and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and the outside of the device houses an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1-megapixel front-facing shooter.

On the software side of things, the Boost MAX comes preloaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Boost and ZTE have also loaded the MAX with SmartView, a feature that allows users to take advantage of the phone’s ginormous screen to run any two apps at the same time.

The Boost MAX is now available from Boost Mobile’s website as well as its retail stores. Priced at $299.99 without a contract, the Boost MAX is one of the pricier phones in the prepaid operator’s lineup, but that’s actually not a bad deal considering that you’re getting a device with 4G LTE connectivity, a big battery and a 5.7-inch HD display that’s by far the largest screen available for the carrier. If that sounds like a phone that’s right up your alley, you can visit Boost’s website and click the big orange “Add to cart” button to claim a MAX of your very own right now.
