5.7-Inch Boost MAX Now Available From Boost Mobile For $299.99 With No Annual Contract
Finding competent Android smartphones at an affordable price just isn't as difficult as it used to be. There's the Nexus 5 if you want a phone for $349.99 that remains competitive with largely anything out there. There's the HTC Desire 601 for $279.99 if you love Sense but don't want to fork over the money for one of the manufacturer's flagship devices. And if you really don't want spend over $200, there's the Moto G. But if you want a significantly larger handset for a similar low price, Boost Mobile is ready to fill that niche with the Boost MAX, a 5.7-inch device available for $299.99 without a contract.
The Boost MAX is a rebranded ZTE Beast, which @evleaks leaked a week ago. It has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 3200mAh battery. The phone comes with Android 4.1, so it's significantly outdated already, and I wouldn't count on receiving many OTAs in the future to address this. But if you know someone who could benefit from a large display that wouldn't care less about what version they're running, this could be the phone to get.
