Huawei Mate 20 appears in leaked renders, triple rear camera setup in tow

With less than two weeks to go before the official Huawei Mate 20 reveal, we’re getting our best look yet at the upcoming flagship.

New renders of the Huawei Mate 20 have been leaked by WinFuture.de. They show a device with the same general design as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro that leaked recently, but with a couple of key changes. The first is the presence of a rear fingerprint reader, which isn’t present on the Mate 20 Pro because it’s got an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The other big change is at the top of the Mate 20′s display. While it has a notch just like the Mate 20 Pro does, its notch is considerably smaller. It’s suspected that that’s because it doesn’t have laser sensors for facial recognition like the Mate 20 Pro.

The Huawei Mate 20 is expected to come equipped with a 6.43-inch 2244×1080 display, octa-core Kirin 980 processor, and triple rear camera setup. There will allegedly be models available with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of built-in storage available, but they’ll all be powered by a 4000mAh battery.

Huawei is hosting an event on October 16th, and we’ll likely learn more about the Mate 20 and its launch at that time. Based on what we’ve seen of them so far, are you interested in the Mate 20 or Mate 20 Pro?
