Nokia X5 is the latest Android phone to sport a notch
We’ve seen quite a few Android phones come to market with a display notch this year, and today another such device was made official.
Meet the Nokia X5, which features a 5.86-inch 1520×720 display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch. It’s also packing a dual rear camera setup with one 13MP main sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor to give your photos an artsy bokeh look, and there’s an 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture around front for your selfie needs.
The body of the Nokia X5 features glass on both sides to help give it a premium feel, and there’s a polycarbonate frame. Inside that body is an octa-core Helio P60 processor with 3GB or 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, and a microSD card. A 3060mAh battery powers the whole package, and there’s a USB-C port for charging. Also of note is the included 3.5mm headphone jack, which means you’ll be able to use your existing headphones.
On the software side, the Nokia X5 comes preloaded with Android Oreo.
The Nokia X5 is now available for pre-order in China, with pricing starting at ¥999 ($149 USD) for the 3GB/32GB model. Unfortunately, there’s no word on expanded availability quite yet.
While it’s not the most high-end phone around, the Nokia X5 looks like it offers a nice bang for your buck, packing trendy features like a tall display and dual rear camera setup along with some decent specs into a device with a premium feel. Here’s to hoping that its availability isn’t limited to China so that more consumers have the chance to give the Nokia X5 a try.
