T-Mobile launches ONE Military initiative

T-Mobile is launching a new initiative to benefit U.S. military families through discounts, employment, and network improvements. First up is the T-Mobile ONE Military plan, which offers 50% off of family lines for military families on a T-Mobile ONE plan. Additionally, military families who join a ONE Military plan before May 31 can get 50% off of the latest Samsung smartphones, including the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

T-Mobile is also committing to hiring 10,000 veterans and military spouses in the next five years. To expedite the employment initiative, T-Mobile is partnering with FourBlock, a nonprofit focused on veteran career placement, to expand its Career Readiness Program to 20 new cities, as well as making it available online. This will allow veterans to more easily find careers in a field that matches their skills.

Finally, T-Mobile is committing to network enhancements around U.S. military bases. The company will invest more than half a billion dollars to expand LTE coverage and capacity around military bases. It will also lay the groundwork for its future 5G network in these areas.

T-Mobile has long offered discounts and excellent employment benefits for military families and veterans, but this initiative takes the support to a new level.
