Razer may announce a phone on November 1

Razer is one of the biggest names when it comes to the PC gaming, but it looks like the smartphone market may have to make some room for it, too.

We first heard about Razer making a smartphone back in July, but since then, the rumor mill has quieted down a bit. It’s always felt probable that the company was preparing to launch a smartphone, presumably with Android. That all lined up with Nextbit, the folks who put together the Robin smartphone, joining the Razer team back in January.

Now Razer has something planned for November 1. Specifically, the company says it is planning the “biggest unveiling” for a new device on that date. Unfortunately the invite doesn’t include anything else, so there’s no telling what a Razer smartphone looks like from the promo material.

What do you think a Razer phone brings to the table? Top-of-the-line specs seems like a pretty safe bet. How do you think the company lights up the phone, though?
