Michael Kors enters Android Wear game with Access smartwatch

The fact that big watch manufacturers are hopping on Android Wear is a good indicator that the platform is here to stay. With smartwatch popularity booming, traditional watchmakers should be a bit worried. Thankfully, a few have already adapted to the new world of smartwatches, and Michael Kors is the latest.

The newly announced Michael Kors Access smartwatch is a luxury watch that runs Android Wear, making it just as smart as our lowly Moto 360s and Huawei Watches. But it also has a designer look to it that Michael Kors fans should appreciate. It even comes with exclusive watch faces, functional both for workouts and fancy get togethers. Excuse me, I meant soirées.

Unfortunately, such luxury will come at a price. These watches will start at $395, which isn’t overly expensive but isn’t budget-friendly, either. They’ll become available fall of 2016 at Michael Kors stores, participating retailers, and online. Are any of you considering one? Leave a comment!
