HTC One (M8) to get missing Crop-Me-In feature with future app update
HTC has been working hard to push out the new Eye Experience to the HTC One (M8). The new camera features were unveiled on October 8th alongside the HTC Desire Eye, but the company flipped the switch and started pushing out the new features to the HTC One (M8) just a few days later. The update has already hit unlocked phones in Europe and North America, along with T-Mobile and Verizon models in the US.
Unfortunately, the speed at which HTC released the Eye Experience update for the HTC One (M8) came at a cost. HTC’s new Crop-Me-In feature hasn’t been included in the updates. It would be disappointing if that was the end of the story, but HTC’s decision to manage its core Sense 6 apps through Google Play will make it possible to HTC to add in the new feature with an update to its camera app. HTC isn’t quite sure when the update will be available, but it is promising a release before the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is pushed out.
