Galaxy S5 Mini is now available in India, will set you back to the tune of $435

Samsung has commenced sales of the Galaxy S5 Mini in India, with retailer Flipkart getting exclusive rights to sell the handset in the country for Rs. 26,499 ($435).

The retailer is offering the Galaxy S5 Mini in four color variants — black, blue, gold and white — and is throwing in a Sennheiser HD180 with every purchase. Customers will also receive free ebooks worth Rs. 2,000 ($32) for free.

In terms of specs, you're looking at a 4.5-inch 720p display, 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos 3 Quad 3470 SoC, 1.5 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, microSD up to 64 GB, 8 MP camera at the back, 2.1 MP shooter at the front, 3G connectivity along with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and a 2,100 mAh battery. The Galaxy S5 Mini also features a fingerprint scanner and a heart rate sensor, and is certified IP67 for dust and water resistance. On the software side of things, the device features the latest TouchWiz user interface on a foundation of Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
